Our Two Worlds Cancer team is composed of volunteers and five, part-time staff

Since 2010 we have relied on the expertise and generosity of our volunteers – a core group of 30 including our President and Directors. This group provides countless hours each year to support our programs virtually and on-the-ground. Our volunteers come from many different areas of expertise: palliative care, oncology, haematology, pharmacology, communications, graphic design and project administration.

The Two Worlds Cancer team believes  we can play a key role in reducing suffering and improving outcomes for cancer and other serious illnesses globally. Our approach is collaborative – driven by the needs determined by our local partnerships with healthcare professionals – with the goal of building self-sustaining programs
of care.

The images on our website and social media tell very personal stories and with that comes responsibility.

The photographs and videos Two Worlds Cancer shares on our website and social media have been obtained with informed consent from the individuals, patients and families, and the healthcare providers featured. We ask permission to make the images ensuring they are informed of how they may be used. Often the moments can be emotionally difficult and we are incredibly grateful for them allowing us into their lives and giving us permission to share their stories publicly.

In 2021, Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration initiated contracts with visual storytellers in the countries where our programs help build compassionate care. It is their vision of our programs, partner organizations and colleagues that we share with you and ultimately their empathy for the patients and their families which your donations support.
