Our team of Canadian and international health care professionals works with care professionals in resource-constrained countries to help reduce the burden of cancer
With cancer, it really does matter in which of the two worlds you live. The inequalities are extreme, but a dedicated group of Canadian cancer experts and volunteers are working to help narrow the divide through Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration.
Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration is harnessing Canada’s cancer knowledge and leadership to assist local health care professionals in resource-constrained countries in palliative care, end-of-life care and cancer control strategies. Together we are collaborating to overcome barriers such as lack of training, diagnostic services and treatment infrastructure.
Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration focuses on three priority areas:
- Palliative and end-of-life care
- Pediatric (childhood and adolescent) cancers
- Population-based cancer control
Our volunteer team of doctors, nurses, social workers and other health care professionals is collaborating to increase care locally and enhance cancer care globally.
